The Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid – Porsche’s 410bhp hybrid Panamera – will qualify for the £5,000 taxpayer grant for ULEV.

Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid qualifies for £5,000 taxpayer incentive
When Porsche revealed the first facelift for the Panamera back in April, they also revealed the Panamera S E-Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid with the power of a V8 and the fuel consumption of a city car.
In the case of the Panamera S E-Hybrid that means a plug-in hybrid with a 94bhp electric motor to boost the power from the 3.0 litre V6 to 410bhp. That means almost V8 performance with 0-62mph taking just 5.5 seconds.
But because the Panamera S E-Hybrid is a plug-in, it can run for up to 22 miles on electric power only and, thanks to the way official economy figures are calculated, means the plug-in Panamera comes complete with official economy of 91mpg and emissions of 71g/km.
All that adds up to a taxpayer bribe for buyers of the Panamera S E-Hybrid of £5,000, no road tax, no congestion charging, a 5% BIK charge for company car drivers and a 100 per cent first year writing down allowance for businesses who fork out £89,000 to put their employees in a ‘green’ Porsche.
No doubt company directors will be queueing up to get their company to put them in a Panamera S E-Hybrid with a tax bill – even for a 45 per cent taxpayer – of only £38.50 a week.
