The Renault Clio Gordini 200
The Clio Gordini Renaultsport 200 is now open to order in the UK. Just 500 are being allocated to the UK at £19,650
Renault are moving on with their Gordini offerings, this time the Clio with the announcement that the Renaulsport Clio 200 gets the Gordini treatment – Blue with white stripes – and a near £2,000 price premium.
Apart from the requisite paint job Renault has added gloss black to parts of the bumpers, shoved a set of white mirrors on and added some bespoke, 17″ alloys. But in fact you don’t ahve to stick to the Gordini Blue colour scheme – you can opt for Black or White instead.
The interior of the Clio Gordini gets the required logos, dark grey leather and lots of blue detailing. The steering wheel gets finished in blue and grey with a couple of white stripes. Throw in a white rev counter and a raft of glossy black finish to detail such as the centre console and air vents and you have the interior makeover.
Standard kit includes a radio/CD with Bluetooth, Climate and cornering lights. You can also if you wish opt for the Cup chassis instead of the standard, but unless you don’tb care about your spine don’t bother.
The Renault Clio Gordini 200 looks the part. It’s just a shame Renault has chosen the cosmetic only route. The Gordini badge deserves more.
