Skoda Octavia SE Sport and SE Technology
The Skoda Octavia is getting two new model options in the UK, with the arrival of the Octavia SE Sport and SE Technology, costing from £19,925.
Ahead of the arrival of the plate change in September, and with a keen eye on any fallout for car sales in the wake of the Brexit vote, Skoda is working to make its Octavia more appealing with a brace of new models – the Octavia SE Sport and SE Technology – costing from a shade under £20k.First of the two Octavia models is the SE Sport – which can be had as a hatch or as an estate – with a choice of Skoda’s 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine with 148bhp or the 1.6 litre TDI diesel with 108bhp, with both being available with either a manual or DSG automatic.
Extra equipment available on the SE Sport – in addition to the SE – includes 17″ Denom alloys, LED trail lights, LED running lights, sports seats, Sat Nav, wi-fi and cruise control.
If you specced up the SE with all the extra kit it would cost you an additional £3,150, but the SE Sport costs just £950 more with prices ranging from the 1.4 litre hatch at £19,990 to the diesel estate with DSG at estate from £23,345.
The second new model is actually a replacement model, with the existing Octavia Business Edition being replaced by this, the Octavia SE Technology, with a range of diesel-only engines and manual or auto gearboxes.
Skoda say the SE Technology gets £1,155 worth of extra equipment, compared to the Business Edition, for just an extra £275, including Sat Nav, wi-fi, parking sensors and cruise. Prices start at £19,925 for the 1.6 TDI 110PS hatch with manual gearbox and rise to £22,030 for the 2.0 TDI 150PS Estate with DSG.
Both the Skoda Octavia SE Sport and SE Technology are available to order from Skoda’s UK dealers.
