Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 celebrates 50 years of Hilux adventures
The Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 is a limited edition Hilux built in partnership with Arctic Trucks to celebrate 50 years of the Hilux pick-up.
The Toyota Hilux became more than just another pick-up when ‘old new’ Top Gear started trying to break it – and took it on adventures to the North Pole and Icelandic Volcanoes – and it’s now cemented in petrolheads’ minds as the unbreakable pick-up. Which won’t have done Hilux sales any harm at all.But even if the Hilux’s profile went off the scale with Top Gear antics, it’s been around a lot longer than that – 50 years – and Toyota are celebrating that with a limited edition Hilux – the Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 – for the UK, with just 50 on offer.
Engineered in partnership with Arctic Trucks, the Invincible 50 gets a new performance suspension setup from Arctic and Bilstein with 16 x 7.5 ET05 alloys and 265/75R16 BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tyres, offering more ground clearance and improved approach and departure angles.
Added butch comes from wider front and rear wings, double hoops sports bar with four high-power Vision X lights, Arctic Truck mud flaps and Line-X bed liner, as well as ‘Invincible 50’ chrome badging and black paint job.
The Toyota Hilux Invincible 50 goes on sale in the UK on 1 November, and although Toyota hasn’t revealed prices yet they do say they’re not going to be silly.
