Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial Active
The Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial, Toyota’s CV take on the Land Cruiser, can now be had in a more extensive spec Active trim offering.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the last of a fast-dying breed of real SUVs, intent on delivering real ability and not prepared to sacrifice that for driving manners which emulate a road car.But if you’re looking for a truly able, commodious, go-anywhere SUV there isn’t much better on offer, and if you want it to really be a load-lugging workhorse then there’s the Land Cruiser Commercial too, with its blanked-off back windows and no back seats.
It was introduced in to the UK in spring 2018, but it came with a fairly utilitarian Utility spec (the clue’s in the name), but now Toyota want to cater for CV owners who want a few more toys and a bit more comfort with the new Land Cruiser Commercial Active.
Available in both three-door and five-door versions, both powered by Toyota’s 2.8 D-4D engine with a healthy 310lb/ft of torque and a six-speed automatic, the differences are mainly in the spec, although the addition of a six-speed auto for the Active model is welcome.
The upgraded spec for the Active model includes 19″ alloys, body-coloured handles and mirrors, dual-zone climate, better sound with DAB, Toyota Touch 2 Multimedia with 8″ screen and extra safety tech like rear parking sensors, reversing camera, Hill Start and Downhill Assist.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial Active is now on sale in the UK, with first deliveries due in March 2020, with prices from £32,969 for the three-door and £33,932 for the five-door.
