Volvo has now released prices and specs for the S60 in the UK
Volvo has released UK prices and model details for the 2010 S60, starting at £23,295 and rising to £36,745. First customer cars delivered in August.
Volvo has managed to drag the launch of the new S60 out over most of the last eighteen months, from the first teaser pictures of the S60 at the back end of 2008 through to the official launch at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. And now we get UK model and price detail for the Volvo S60, which can be ordered for first deliveries in August although dealers will get cars in July.
The Volvo S60 is a big deal for Volvo and could well see Geely getting a return on its investment very quickly if the S60 is as well received as expected. It gets a good head start in the good driving stakes by being based on an extended Mondeo chassis which should make it a decent drive , and the three engine options available at launch – a pair of 5 pot diesels – the S60 D5 and the S60 D3 – offering 205bhp and 163bhp and the S60 T6 which gets a 304bhp 6 pot petrol lump which gets to 60mph in 6.3 seconds – cover all the bases.
As you would expect there are a deluge of safety-based systems with Volvo-esque acronyms, including DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control), WHIPS (Whiplash Protection System) and SIPS (Side Impact Protection System) The S60 also gets City Safe which automatically brakes the vehicle from speeds up to 19mph if the car in front stops.
Prices start at £23,295 for the entry-level D3 ES rising to £36,745 for the top-of-the-range T6 AWD SE Lux Geartronic Premium. Let’s just hope they don’t stick all that nomenclature on the boot.

That’s a nice car! I like the design of this S60 compare to other Volvo cars which looks more classy rather than sporty. The price is quite high though for sedan but it’s Audi and it has lots of high-tech capabilities put on the S60. Definitely one of my top favorite car.
