2016 Renault Megane Sport Tourer (pictured) revealed ahead of Geneva
The 2016 Renault Megane Sport Tourer has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week in Sport Tourer GT spec.
With the 2016 Geneva Motor Show just a week away from kicking off in Switzerland, the reveals are starting to pile in, and this morning we have the first photos of the 2016 Renault Megane Sport Tourer – the load-lugging take on the new Megane – and a few snippets of information..Renault say the Megane Estate is elegant and sporty – which, in this Sport Tourer GT spec, seems a fair point – and they also say the Megane Sport Tourer GT is the only C-segment estate car to get four-wheel steering, thanks to Renault’s 4CONTROL.
Other highlights include what Renault are promising is the longest load bed of any car in its class.
The photos Renault has released are of the Sport Tourer GT, which comes with extra sporty bits like a honeycomb grille, beefier front bumper, rear diffuser and titivated roof rails.
Renault are keeping some details back for the Geneva debut, so although it’s unconfirmed it seems almost certain that the Sport Tourer GT Estate will get the same 202bhp petrol engine as the Megane GT Hatch, with the rest of the Sport Tourer range getting the same engine options as the Megane Hatch.
We’ll have more when the 2016 Renault Megane Sport Tourer gets it Geneva debut a week tomorrow (1 March 2016)
