2016 Jaguar F-Type gets 5 year warranty & Servicing in USA

Jaguar has just launched the 2016 F-Type in the US (we’d call it the 2015 Jaguar F-Type this side of the Pond) with new options and significant changes in the warranty and servicing offerings.
Jaguar has decided that for the 2016 F-Type they’ll include five years warranty (up to 60k miles), five years scheduled servicing, five years Roadside Assistance and five years access to Jaguar InControl. Which is quite a show of faith in the F-Type.
Not only that, the 2016 F-Type comes with the option of 4WD and a manual gearbox (as it does in the UK) and an extra equipment list worth from £2,500 to £8,000.
The new extended warranty and free servicing comes on the back of Jaguar being recognised by J.D. Power as the highest achieving luxury car brand, with the best service of any car brand. Which shouldn’t do sales any harm.
Jaguar are clearly trying hard to woo US car buyers with their latest offerings. Let’s just hope they remember that UK buyers deserve the same treatment.
But as they gave US buyers five years free servicing on the XJ some years ago, you shouldn’t hold your breath.
