The last Koenigsegg One:1 – Koenigsegg’s ‘Megacar’ – is making its North American debut at Monterey Car Week before heading for its new owner.
It’s eighteen months since the Koenigsegg One:1 was revealed as a limited run ‘Megacar’ – just six being built – with an incredible ‘one to one’ ratio of 1360hp and 1360kg curb weight, and now the last of the six One:1s is heading for its owner in North America. But before the lucky owner is able to go out and play, Christian von Koenigsegg is introducing his Megacar to North American car lovers at the Monterey Car Week in California.
If you’re lucky enough to be in California in the coming week you can catch the One:1 at Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival, but perhaps the big outing is at The Quail on Friday when – if you’re lucky enough to get a ticket – you’ll be able to see the One:1 in the flesh, as well as the debut of the Lamborghini Aventador SV LP750-4 Roadster, before the One:1 moves off to The Rolex Reunion at Laguna Seca.
Christian von Koenigsegg said:
Classic Car Week in Monterey is the highlight of the classic and enthusiast motorist’s calendar in the United States and it is a pleasure for Koenigsegg to be part of such a prestigious week. To be able to present the One:1 at Monterey is extremely satisfying, a great chance to introduce Koenigsegg’s pinnacle performance car to the American market.
And, with any luck, sign up a few well-heeled customers for the Koenigsegg Regera or Koenigsegg Agera RS.
