
SsangYong Korando LE adds extra value
The SsangYong Korando LE joins Ssangyong’s UK range sporting additional equipment and the new 2.2 litre diesel. Costs from £17,995.
It’s getting on for three years since the Ssangyong Korando got a bit of a facelift, so despite its modest pricing it needs a bit of help to get punters in to Ssangyong showrooms and parting with their cash. Step forward the Ssangyong Korando LE.Ssangyong are calling the Korando LE a ‘special’ model, so we assume it’s a temporary addition to the Korando range to boost sales, rather then a new models to sit alongside the SE, EX and ELX models.
The Korand LE comes with extra kit to set it apart, including 18″ diamond cut alloys, Sat Nav, sidesteps, 7″ high resolution touchscreen, Climate, heated front seats, privacy glass, parking sensors and a rear spoiler.
The LE comes in a choice of white, metallic black, blue and Galaxy Green paint jobs, with clear indicators, Piano Black grille and sidesteps.
Under the bonnet is Ssangyong’s latest 2.2 litre diesel engine delivering 176bhp and 295lb/ft of torque, with emissions of 139g/km and official economy of 53.3mpg, driving just the front wheels in the LE – there is no 4WD option.
The Ssangyong Korando LE is now on sale in Ssangyong’s UK showrooms, costing from £17,995 for the manual and £18,995 for the auto.
