New BMW Z4 tease manages to show us less than we’ve seen
The BMW Z4 is being teased again ahead of a debut at Pebble Beach later this month, but BMW are showing us far less than they already have.
We all know it’s compulsory for every new car, or titivated model, on its way to get teased to death to keep it in the headlines, with car makers now even inventing their own ‘official’ spy shots to try and control the game. The new BMW Z4 is a good case in point, with BMW revealing their own ‘spy’ photos of the new Z4 back in June to keep us all interested and now, with the Z4’s debut at Pebble Beach looming this month, we get another tease of the new BMW, a car which shares its DNA with the new Toyota Supra.
We’d sort of understand another tease for the Z4 if there was anything new to show, or if it was a section of the Z4 without any camouflage. But all we get (in the photo above) is a close-up shot of the new grille on the Z4 complete with camouflage for the surrounding bodywork. Which seems odd when BMW has already shown us the whole car.
Of course, it is just possible that this isn’t a shot of the new Z4 (BMW hasn’t said as much) but unless BMW has decided to add that unique grille to a surprise model, it has to be the production-ready Z4.
We’ll find out at Pebble Beach, if not before.
