Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition arrives

There’s a new limited edition Alfa Romeo MiTo on offer – the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK – with just 28 cars on sale in the UK at a price of £21,595.

In case you didn’t know, Alfa Romeo sponsors the FIM Superbike World Championship – and has been doing so since 2006 – and also throws in the Alfa official safety car.

Which explains why, when Alfa were scratching their heads to come up with a new Limited Edition MiTo, they settled on the the Superbike link with the Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition.

The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK has now arrived on UK shores – although there will only be 28 of them – complete with Superbike titivation and a few publicity photos featuring the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK on two wheels alongside a Superbike.

The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK gets Alfa’s 1.4 litre MultiAir engine with 170bhp and has a smattering of SBK logos on the solid black bodywork (the only option, which comes with an Alfa Red roof), a body kit for added butchness, a spoiler at the back, 18″ alloys and red Brembo calipers.

Inside, the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK gets bred stitching on the Alcantara seats (with carbon fibre backs), red stitching for the steering wheel an gear knob and a set of sports pedals.

The spec also includes AirCon, Blue&Me, Cruise, parking sensors at the back and Alfa’s Active Suspension, and you’ll also get a numbered ‘SBK Limited Edition’ Badge.

At a price of £21,595, the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK is nearly £3k more than a regular MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde, but the extra kit on the SBK represents a saving of £1200 over adding the additional spec to the standard car.

And with just 28 examples of the Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK arriving here, you’d better get a shake on if the extra goodies float your boat.
