Aston Martin DB10 & Jaguar C-X75 flaming in SPECTRE
The first proper trailer for the new James Bond SPECTRE shows cars will be front and centre with the Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75 on show.
James Bond without Aston Martin really doesn’t work on the big screen, so when we learned last year that Bond will be driving an Aston Martin DB10 – a special AML creation just for the new SPECTRE film – it seemed an auspicious start for the year-long promo for the new Bond.We then discovered that the villain will be driving the Jaguar C-X75 – Jaguar’s still-born hypercar – recreating a more modern take on the battle between Bond’s Aston Martin Vanquish and the villain’s Jaguar XKR in Die Another Day, and we’re guaranteed a Bond Car-Fest with Spectre.
That became even more clear when we got footage of the DB10 and C-X75 chase through the streets of Rome recently and now, with the release of the first proper trailer for SPECTRE, it’s clear that the Bond cars will be more than just a visually appealing backdrop.
The trailer features the usual ‘The name’s Bond, James Bond’ line, beautiful women, crashing planes, gun fights and moody lighting, but there’s clearly going to be car action, with the trailer showing Bond’s Aston flame-throwing the chasing Jag and the Aston airborne as it leaps another car. There’s even a brief glimpse of the Range Rover Sport SVR and Defender Big Foot in the snow.
James Bond SPECTRE will be released on 6 November 2015. Expect more high action trailers before then,
