A series of photos of the new Aston Martin DB11 published online look to be the real thing, giving us our first proper look at AML’s new DB11.
The new Aston Martin DB11 has been teased by AML already – as has its new 5.2 litre V12 turbo engine – but with its Geneva Motor Show debut almost here it looks like we have the first official photos. And they also look to prove the first Aston Martin DB11 photo we published in January was the real deal too.Published by Car Scoops, the four images are almost certainly of the new DB11, and although it still looks a familiar Aston DB, the game looks to have moved on impressively.
There’s still the long bonnet, which is more sculptured than the DB9’s, complete with a new take on the Aston Martin grille, to accommodate the new 5.2 litre turbo V12, shaped headlights that bend in to the wings, clamshell bonnet, big rear wheel arches, slim LED tail lights, ‘fastback’ rear end and a ‘floating’ roof.
The design themes are influenced by the DBX Crossover – and even the James Bond DB10 – and show Aston’s new design direction, and the DB11 is believed to be underpinned by a new take on AML’s venerable VH architecture, rather than anything borrowed from Mercedes-AMG.
With the official debut of the DB11 imminent, we’ll soon find out what the interior has to offer, and more importantly how powerful the new 5.2 litre V12 turbo is.
More on the new Aston Martin DB11 then.
