Autoblog are reporting this morning that our news last week that we’d seen the real Aston Martin One-77, and therefore concluded it was going to show at Geneva, are right.
The Aston Martin One-77 is going to be previewed later today at the Motor Show in Geneva. It features a highly tuned (by Cosworth) version of Aston Martin’s Ford derived 6,0 litre V12, which has been enlarged to 7.3 litres. Amazingly, the enlarged engine weighs 25% less than the engine on which it’s based, but manages to produce a massive 700bhp.
And the One-77 is light too. It’s all carbon monocoque helps keep weight down to 3300lbs. Features include inboard suspension, ceramic brakes and a six-speed sequential box.
All this should add up to some pretty special performance from what will inevitably be the fastest Aston Martin ever. Expect to see a 0-60 time of a little over 3 seconds, and on to a top speed well over 200mph.
More news later today when the car actually launches. But nice to see Autoblog confirm what we told you last week!

Aston Martin make the most beautiful cars. And the One-77 is the most beautiful of all, IMO. Yes, the price is extreme at £1,000,000 plus taxes, but they are only going to make 77 cars in total. I can’t believe that there aren’t 77 people in the world who have the desire and the bank balance to buy the AM One-77.
So good luck I say. The Aston Martin One-77 is a great deal more appealing than thhe Lamborghini Reventon was, and with the near parity in exchange rates it is not really any more expensive.
No contest. The Aston Martin One-77 wins hands down.

I agreed completely with you. Aston is the best car for looking good that is made. But it is a very high price for a car
