Audi RS 4 and RS 5 Carbon Editions – How to drop an extra £12.5k on your new Audi RS
New Carbon Editions or the Audi RS 4 Avant and RS 5 Coupe have been announced, adding £1ok to the price of the RS 4 and £12.5k to the RS 5.
So you’ve decided to splash your cash on a new Audi, but a quick Audi. You’ve narrowed it down to either the new RS 4 Avant at £61k or the RS 5 Coupe at £63k.But even though over £60k for a quick-ish Audi is a chunk of money, you actually have over £70k to chuck around. So maybe you should go and look elsewhere?
But don’t worry, Audi has the answer – the Carbon Edition option for the RS 4 Avant and RS 5 Coupe.
Costing (respectively) £10k and £12.5k over the regular RS 4 Avant and RS 5 C0upe – making them £71,625 and £75,400 – the Carbon Editions get tweaked and fettled with everything from CFRP detailing to RS Matrix headlights by way of RS Sports Exhaust and a Carbon roof for the RS 5.
Other changes include 20″ alloys, Matt Aluminium Styling Pack, Red Brake Calipers, RS Super Sports seats in Nappa and Privacy glass.
The new 2.9 litre V6 under the bonnet (which still sounds odd to us) gets 444bhp, enough for the RS 4 to get to 62mph in 4.1 seconds and the RS 5 in 3.9s. But you’d get that anyway, as you would the other stuff like 4WD quattro and Virtual Cockpit.
Audi say the RS 5 Coupe Carbon Edition will land in the UK by December, but it’ll take until March 2018 for the RS 4 Avant Carbon edition to make it to UK Audi showrooms.
