Jaguar F-Pace makes an appearance in first OFFICIAL photo
The Jaguar F-Pace – Jaguar’s new, and first, Crossover – makes an appearance in the first official photo of the F-Pace ahead of a Frankfurt Motor Show debut.
We’ve seen so much of the new Jaguar F-Pace Crossover – Jaguar’s first crossover and their big hope for a piece of this still growing part of the market – from the original C-X17 Concept through to the video of a multi-coloured F-Pace showing its on-road prowess, that it’s tough to get too excited about more spoon-fed information. But now we get the real deal – well, a taster of the real deal – with the first official photo of the new F-Pace ahead of its debut at Frankfurt next week.
As far as we can see, the production F-Type differs very little from the C-X17 Concept, with the same profile and dynamic looks, and it seems Jaguar are doing with the F-Pace what Land Rover did with the Range Rover Evoque – delivering the concept in production guise with little changed.
That’s a good thing – the C-X17 looked very Jaguar and, for a crossover, very dynamic – and all we’ve learnt in the interim period – F-Type inspired handling, sophisticated suspension, torque vectoring, aluminium underpinnings – raises expectations that Jaguar may just be able to deliver a crossover that can compete with Porsche’s SUV/Crossover offerings on-road.
All will be revealed very soon.
