Jaguar sales rise by a MASSIVE 91 per cent in July

Jaguar sales rose by a massive 91 per cent in July as Jaguar Land Rover report its best ever July sales up 34 per cent on July 2015.

It’s too soon for Brexit and Sterling’s decline to be a factor in Jaguar Land Rover’s sales, but despite that it’s encouraging to see more good news on sales coming from Jaguar Land Rover in July.

In fact JLR had a cracking July, with sales up by 34 per cent on the same period in 2015, thanks as usual, in the main, to sales of Land Rover vehicles, but also demonstrating a huge increase in Jaguar sales.

Land Rover managed to increase sales by 19 per cent in July thanks to strong sales of the Land Rover Discovery Sport – although the Range Rover Evoque was only just behind.

But after years of threatening to make a real difference to JLR’s bottom line – and with a very credible range of cars on offer – the arrival of Jaguar’s first SUV – the Jaguar F-Pace – seems to have had a profound effect on sales.

Jaguar aren’t giving sales by model, but their sales rose in July 2016 by 91 per cent thanks, say Jaguar, to the strong launch of the F-Pace and solid sales for the XE. Which sounds pretty much like it’s the F-Pace that’s flying out of showrooms to us, with sales in North America more than doubling and sales in China triple those in July 2015.

This has been another record month for Jaguar Land Rover with impressive sales across both of our brands. The Discovery Sport and the Jaguar XE have delivered record July sales performances and the Jaguar F-PACE is in popular demand with our customers, reflecting the global appeal of our strongest ever vehicle line up.

Jaguar sales may still be only 30 per cent of Land Rover’s, but it’s strong move in the right direction. No doubt JLR will be feverishly working on expanding Jaguar’s SUV range as soon as possible, with both a smaller take on the F-Pace and an electric SUV.
