Mazda3 Sport Black
The Mazda3 Sport Black arrives on sale in the UK as Mazda deliver a new Mazda3 special edition limited to 700 units and costing from £21,595.
It looks like Mazda has decided ‘Sport Black’ Limited Edition is still the key to extra sales, so having announced the new Mazda2 Sport Black just last week it’s back with another limited edition model – the Mazda3 Sport Black, a ‘greatest hits’ revival from 2016.Mazda has taken the Mazda3 SE-L Nav as the starting point for the Sport Black and added a number of titivations to the spec, as well as similar cosmetic titivations to those on the Mazda2 Sport Black.
Available only as a hatchback, the Mazda3 Sport Black gets a set of 18″ dark alloys, black roof spoiler and black door mirrors and can be had in Soul Red Metallic, Snowflake White Pearlescent and Eternal Blue Mica.
As well as the standard spec of the SE-L Nav model, the Sport Black adds a reversing camera, Keyless, LED headlights and adaptive lighting too, as well as a heated steering wheel, BOSE Sound, Cruise, Climate and Mazda’s 7″ MZD-Connect Infotainment.
Under the skin is just the Hobson’s choice of the 118bhp 2.0 litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine, good for 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and official economy of 55.4mpg. It comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The new Mazda3 Sport Black is now on sale at Mazda’s UK dealers, and just 700 are available.
