The new Mercedes AMG GT – the effective replacement for the SLS – is teased again on video ahead of a reveal now confirmed as 9 September 2014.
The new Mercedes AMG GT – Mercedes new supercar – is getting teased to death ahead of its reveal, and today we get yet another video, this time focusing on the AMG GT’s development process.
In the meantime, this new AMG GT tease video seeks to demonstrate the depths Mercedes AMG ahs gone to to make the SLS’s replacement the best it can be.
That include 32 months of engineering road tests in temperatures ranging from -30 to 50 degrees C, 2,974 square metres of camouflage for the test cars and 50 test drivers to give the AMG GT a thorough shaking down in fifteen countries – all with, as Mercedes say, zero compromise.
Not only has Mercedes been testing the AMG GT S – with its 503bhp and 479lb/ft of torque, which will be the first to go on sale, but its ‘lesser’ sibling which will arrive later and have to make do with just 462bhp.
Maybe, just maybe, this will be the last tease for the new Mercedes AMG GT.
