New Toyota Corolla TREK
The new Toyota Corolla TREK arrives as an addition to the Corolla Touring Sports range, offering raised ride height and rufty-tufty updates.
It’s a year since the new Toyota Corolla was revealed as Toyota decided to go back to the future with the Corolla badge replacing the Auris, 12 years after it happened the other way round.Interestingly, we now also have the Corolla saloon in the UK, despite it being a declining market, and the Corolla Touring Sports too to deliver a three shape range.
What we haven’t had so far is what we reported on last year, which was a high-riding Corolla Cross, but that now changes as Toyota announces the new Corolla Touring Sports TREK, to all intents and purposes a Corolla ‘Allroad’, with the choice of a 1.8 or 2.0 litre hybrid powertrain.
Designed in partnership with TREK Bicycle, the Corolla TREK gets a ride height raised by 20mm for more rufty-tufty stuff, the required black plastic cladding and under-runs front and back, honeycomb front grille, bespoke 17″ alloys, Fogs, LED headlights and privacy glass.
Inside there’s two-tone textile upholstery with a ‘TREK’ logo on the door steps and tailgate, 8″ infotainment, Pre-collision Safety, Adaptive Cruise, Lane Trace, Traffic sign recognition and Auto High Beam.
No prices yet for the Toyota Corolla TREK.
