
The VW Golf R-Line (pictured) becomes the R-Line Edition for 2016
Volkswagen are planning to entice buyers in to showrooms with 2016 Golf, Polo and Passat models offering a bigger spec for a little more money.
As Volkswagen try to regain credibility, they’re busy throwing new petrol engines in to their semi-commercial vehicles, and now they’re trying to tempt buyers in to showrooms for 2016 with new Golf, Polo and Passat models which offer a lot more equipment for just a little bit more money.Amongst the offering from VW, there’s a new Polo Match to replace the Polo SE, new Golf GT Edition and R-Line Edition models to replace the old GT and R-Line as well as a new Passat SE Business spec, with the old Passat SE dropped.
2016 Volkswagen Polo Match
The 2016 Polo Match replaces the Polo SE, comes in three or five-door body styles and with plenty of engine choices, and adds £900 worth of equipment to the SE spec.
The extras include cruise, parking sensors, fogs, privacy glass and 15″ alloys, with prices starting at £12,735 – just £100 up on the old SE.
2016 Volkswagen Golf GT Edition and R-Line Edition
VW are also titivating the Golf GT and R-Line – which now become the GT Edition and R-Line Edition.
The GT Edition comes with an additional £1,795 of extra kit including 18″ Durban alloys and panoramic sunroof, with prices starting at £23,915 – £300 up on the GT.
The Golf R-Line Edition gets similar upgrades, with £1,730 of added equipment including 18″ Serron alloys and a panoramic roof. The R-Line Edition goes up to £24,860, £240 more than the R-Line.
2016 Volkswagen Passat SE Business.
VW are dropping the Passat SE, but there’s a new Passat SE Business complete with Sat Nav, fogs, electric folding door mirrors and privacy glass, which adds £555 of equipment for a £100 cost.
All three upgraded VW models are now available to order from VW’s UK dealers, with delivery in early 2016.
