Bentley Centenary Edition teased
A Bentley Centenary Edition is on the way to celebrate 100 years of Bentley, but will it be truly special or a titivated Continental GT?
It’s 100 years this year since W.O. Bentley founded the Bentley business to build “a fast car, a good car, the best in its class”. So Bentley are planning a Centenary Edition to mark the event. But what will it be?
Bentley has started to tease the Centenary Edition with a single image (above) which shows a close up shot of the celebratory model which, we have to admit, looks rather like a Continental GT with a number ‘9’ painted on the grille.
We assume the ‘9’ harks back to the 1929 Bentley Le Mans car driven by Bentley Boys Glen Kidston and Jack Dunfee, and the British Racing Green paint job is an obvious choice, and although a limited edition Continental GT in the mould of the old Supersports would be nice, could Bentley be doing more?
Could we end up seeing a pre-production take on the stunning Bentley EXP 10 Concept from a few years ago making its first appearance as a celebration model?
Bentley has been threatening to turn the EXP 10 in to a production model, and launching it as a celebration of 100 years would be a great way to go.
But you should probably expect a titivated Continental GT.
