Jaguar C-X75 from James Bond SPECTRE up for sale
One of the Jaguar C-X75 cars created for the James Bond Spectre film is up for sale with RM Sotheby’s and could fetch £1,000,000.
It’s nine years since the Jaguar C-X75 was revealed as a Jaguar supercar with a pair of micro-gas turbines charging a bank of batteries which powered four electric motors delivering 780bhp, with a range of 68 miles on just the batteries but an impressive 560 miles when the gas turbines are working.
That was enough to scoot the C-X75 to 62mph in 3.4 seconds and on to 200mph, and looked set to be a limited run halo car for Jaguar. Sadly, JLR decided it was just too complicated to make a reality and the project was binned.
But in 2015 the C-X75 came back to life as the creators of the James Bond film Spectre looked to Jaguar and Williams to make the C-X75 a reality as a Bond car, which they duly did.
In fact they made four C-X75s, built around a spaceframe and fitted with a 492bhp V8 borrowed from the F-Type – and with RWD instead of 4WD from the electric motors, so villain Mr Hix could chase Bond in his Aston Martin DB10 round the streets of Rome.
Now the first of those four Bond cars is up for sale, the same car used for promo work ahead of the 2015 Monaco Grand Prix – where it was driven by Felipe Massa – at RM Sotheby’s Yas Marina auction at the end of the month, when it’s expected to fetch up to £1,000.000.

Another great looking Jag they didn’t put into production. Should be a great aerodynamic platform for a EV sports car
