The Jaguar F-Pace Crossover – Jaguar’s first crossover model – will debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in the autumn and arrive in dealers early 2016.

The first Jaguar Crossover has been on the way ever since the C-X17 Concept arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013.
But what exactly will the Jaguar F-Pace offer?
Well, apart from a daft name (they should have put the X-Type history to bed by using such an eminently suitable name for a crossover), you’ll get underpinnings that use basically the same platform as the new Jaguar XE (and new XF, for that matter), the promise of great dynamics and some decent engine choices.
The big sellers will be the 2.0 litre Ingenium engines, but there will also be a 3.0 litre petrol supercharged with around 375bhp and a 3.0 litre diesel with around 300bhp, both offering impressive real-world performance and, certainly in the diesel’s case, economy that’s more than acceptable.
But what is almost certain is that we’ll also see the 5.0 litre V8 S/C engine finding its way in to the F-Pace before too long, and if the rumour mill is right we’re also going to get an electric F-Pace.
If Jaguar get the F-Pace right – and it looks very promising – it could end up being the car that gives Jaguar the sort of sales success Land Rover has enjoyed, with buyers preferring it over the new XE.
