OFFICIAL: Spyker B6 Venator Spyder to debut at Pebble Beach – tease begins

The drop top  version of a yet to be produced new Spyker – the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder – will make its debut at Pebble Beach this month, Spyker confirm.

Back in June we revealed that Spyker appeared to be heading to this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show with the B6 Venator Spyder, before which it would make an appearance at Salon Prive for a bit of a Garden Party.

That was made even more certain when we revealed that Spyker would take the Venator Spyder to Pebble Beach for a reveal ahead of both the Frankfurt Show and Salon Prive a week or so ago. And now Spyker have confirmed.

Of course, none of this actually means the Venator Spyder – or even the Venator Coupe – will actually get as far as production.

It would have made a bit more sense to concentrate on getting the Venator Coupe – revealed last year – in to production, and then, once sales were solid, get the Spyder version teased and out to market.

But this is Victor Muller, and he likes to make a show.

So we’re going to get a nice little display of Spyker Cars at Pebble, Salon Prive and this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, although, in truth, all will be ‘hopefulls’ except the Aileron. And that’s not exactly rolling it to showrooms in high numbers.

But we dp hope Victor pulls the B6 Venator – in Coupe and Spyder forms – from concept to reality soon. Because it really does look very promising, even if, at £125k plus, it’s not going to be cheap.
